Aug 26, 2011 - A Welcome Message From Coach Jeff Bailey

We Would Like To Welcome All Familes And Players To The 2011 YLHS Football Program

Coach's Welcome 2011

On behalf of the 2011 Yorba Linda High School Football coaches and players, I would like to welcome everyone to 2011 season.  We are very optimistic that the 2011 Yorba Linda High Mustangs will be a competitive and exciting team to watch.  Our players have put in countless hours of hard work and preparation throughout the off season, spring, and summer which has given us the foundation for success.  Our 2011 schedule will be extremely tough, with quality non-league opponents and an Empire League that we expect to be extremely competitive.  We have very high goals this season and feel that if we come prepared and play well, we should have a chance to beat any team!

Our team would also like to thank our parents, boosters, community, and fans for the tremendous support throughout the season.  This support is an integral part of our program’s success.  We would also like to thank those who have generously contributed to our program.  As a result, our coaches each year are gaining the facilities and equipment to better prepare and teach our athletes.

On a personal note I like would like to thank the Yorba Linda community for their support to the Yorba Linda Football Team.  Our administration, band, cheer/song squads, and teachers have made going to a Yorba Linda football game a positive experience for our players and fans!

Come out and check out the new stadium this year and see a very exciting football team. Should be a great year and join the fun!!!

Go Mustangs!

Mustangs Family,

Football is a tough sport, because if you make the playoffs only one team finishes with a win. Unfortunately this year it is not us, because we played and lost to an outstanding team in El Toro. But, that does not define our season! We had a great season and have a ton to be proud of!! The schools first league championship, first playoff victory, and a 10 win season!! Our hard work paid off and we definitely saw the fruits our labor with a fine season! To our seniors, thanks for helping create a top program and sticking through some tough times over the last 3 years. To our underclassmen, next year needs to be in our minds very soon!! We will take some time off to rest, recover, and recharge the batteries, but we are successful and beat teams with our hard work in the offseason. I also, want to take this opportunity to thank our boosters, parents, fans, and the community for their amazing support this year. We went undefeated at home this year because you guys made that stadium ROCK and travelled better than most teams home crowds!!! The team and the coaching staff really appreciated it, and we will see you again next year for another season of Mustang Football!!!
